VICEROY CARS LIMITED TERMS AND CONDITIONS
For Drivers
Licensing & Identification: Drivers must wear their private hire vehicle (PHV) badge at all times while working, ensuring it is visible to passengers. Drivers must be polite and presentable.
Vehicle Standards: Vehicles must be clean, roadworthy, and comply with age/emission standards, such as being under 10 years old and Zero Emission Capable (ZEC) in London as of 2026.
Route & Efficiency: Journeys should be completed via the most direct or efficient route unless otherwise requested by the passenger.
Conduct: Drivers must be courteous, polite, and not engage in any form of inappropriate sexual conduct or harassment.
Safety & Compliance: Drivers must not use mobile phones while driving, must take the most direct route, and must not exceed the passenger capacity of the vehicle.
Operational Rules: Drivers must accept guide/assistance dogs and assist with luggage.
For Passengers
Booking & Payment: Passengers are responsible for providing correct booking details. Fares should be agreed upon in advance, and passengers may be charged for amendments or cancellations.
Conduct: Passengers must not smoke in the vehicle, play music, or consume food/drink without permission.
Liability: Passengers may be held liable for the full cost of repairs for any internal or external damage caused to the vehicle.
Luggage: Excessive luggage that makes the vehicle unsafe may be refused.
Safety: Passengers must comply with safety regulations, including wearing seatbelts.
Operational Terms
VICEROY CARS LIMITED provides passenger details to the driver and ensure a person is available for contact during operating hours.
VICEROY CARS LIMITED is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond their control, such as traffic, accidents, or extreme weather.
VICEROY CARS LIMITED is not responsible for inaccuracies in data provided by the customer for the booking.
Drivers can refuse service if a passenger’s behaviour is threatening, if they are under the influence of drugs/alcohol, or if they lack appropriate child safety seats.
